This is a commentary by al-Amidi on the famous Waladiya text in argumentation theory. Argumentation theory, or adab al-bahth wal-munazara, is one of the key disciplines in the traditional Islamic curriculum which combined rules of logic with the ethics and conduct of proper debate.
